Soldier Wounded in Tavush Province of Armenia

An escalation of armed operations was registered in the northeastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, in the direction of Berdavan and Koti settlements of Tavush province, Armenia during the night of April 4 and early morning of April 5.

The Azerbaijani side fired various caliber weapons towards Armenian positions and civilian settlements, including 60mm and 82mm mortars; 168.am was informed by the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

The adversary’s actions were suppressed by the counteroffensive actions of the Armenian Armed Forces. Soldier Zori G. Ashrafyan (born 1983) sustained fragmentary injuries during the firefight. The Armenian Armed Forces show restraint and confidently continue supervising the border situation.
