Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and France meet in Paris

On May 19 Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault during his working visit to France, citing the Azerbaijani media.

Elmar Mammadyarov and Jean-Marc Ayrault discussed the results of the Vienna meeting over the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Ministers welcomed the importance of following the agreement reached between the sides over the maintenance of the ceasefire regime.

According to the press service of the MFA of Azerbaijan, Mammadyarov welcomed the willingness of France for offering its services in the organization of the next high-level meeting over which the sides had reached a principle agreement in Vienna.

Issues related to the daily agenda of the Azerbaijani-French bilateral relations were also discussed during the meeting.

French Foreign Minister accepted his Azerbaijani counterpart’s invitation to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan.
