Armenia’s State Debt Increased by USD 173.4 mln
State Debt of the Republic of Armenia as of April 2016 comprised USD 5 bln 252.171 mln.
According to RA National Statistical Service data state debt as compared to March increased by USD 56 mln, and as compared to the beginning of the year – by USD 173.4 mln.
From which: external debt as of late April comprised USD 4 bln 459.083 mln. In the period of one month external debt has grown by USD 53.3 mln, and as compared to the beginning of the year – by USD 141.8 mln.
Note, USD 3 bln 862.3 mln of RA external debt is that of the Government, and USD 490.9 mln that of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).
In the period of January-April 2016 only AMD 20.2 bln was directed to external interest rate payment (instead of AMD 12.7 bln for the same period of the previous year), and to the internal – AMD 7.9 bln.
