“I don’t consider that this trilateral format may become an alternative to the Minsk Group. I think, this is a sign to seek for an alternative, to which nobody gives importance, as Minsk Group format is international, although it’s not so productive, it corresponds to the essence of the conflict, where neither side has a monopoly. Thus, in Russian format, I don’t consider a scenario will be available, which will be beneficial to all the sides.”
“This is just a rumor. Israelis have never instructed Azerbaijani soldiers, except for how to use the arms supplied to Azerbaijan under existing contracts. But this was done by experts from supplier companies.”
“In any case, for the time being, I don’t have such information, that the issue of installation of investigative mechanisms has been ignored, works are ongoing in Vienna. If it wasn’t mentioned in the statement it doesn’t mean that works aren’t being implemented to that end,” the diplomat said.
“First and foremost, EEU is an economic organization, we shouldn’t politicize our economic integration, as any politicization will lead to economic integrating issues, and EEU won’t provide the outcome we anticipate to have.”
When will the tanks supplied by Russia recently act? When another footage will be spread on the internet, in which Armenian soldiers will be commanded to wait and not to shoot? When a few more generals will be arrested? And finally, when the April war will be resumed or the issue of that war be settled within other agreements? It’s all a matter of time.
More or less object agreement reached in St. Petersburg refers increasing the number of observers at the contact line. However, it should be noted, that increase of the number of OSCE observers is considered a step deriving from installation of investigative mechanisms, which was touched upon after the Vienna meeting.
“I can only add the following, that the statement, which followed yesterday’s meeting held in St. Petersburg, once again stressed readiness of France to accompany this negotiation process,” the Ambassador said.
“The Heads of State took note of mutual understanding on a number of issues the resolution of which will allow to create condition for progress in the settlement of the NK issue. The Presidents mentioned the importance of their regular meetings and reached an agreement to continue them in the same format in addition to the activities carried out by the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
