DiviDent Dental Clinic of Armenia and Bredent Medical of Germany Donate Proceeds of Educational Surgeries to Tbilisi’s Zoo

Doctors certified by German company Bredent Medical – one of the leading producers of dental implants and prosthetic solutions in the world, organized a number of educational master class surgeries jointly with the team of Yerevan’s DiviDent dental clinic in Tbilisi, on May 13-15, 2016. The master class surgeries were organized for the purpose of demonstrating innovative dental implantation and prosthetic solutions to doctors from Armenia and Georgia. The financial proceeds from the surgeries were donated to the charity fund of Tbilisi’s Zoo to help with fixing the damages and losses of the zoo and animals because of the heavy flooding that hit the zoo in June 2015, leaving numerous animals killed, and many more roaming in the streets of the city. The surgeries were done by Dr. Davit Galstyan (dental implantologist from DiviDent dental clinic of Armenia) and Dr. Maia Kiviladze (dental implantologist and maxillofacial surgeon from Exner & Company dental clinic of Georgia) jointly, supported by their medical teams to demonstrate a concept of team work in dental implantology.

The following master class surgeries were performed:

1. Through Bredent’s Fast & Fixed concept the chewing function of a patient was fully restored through one surgical operation. As a result, a toothless patient regained new teeth that were functional immediately after the surgery. This method allows to place implants and provisorium in 4 hours. Moreover, the insufficient volume of the bone is not an obstacle in this case.

2. Placement of Bredent’s White SKY zirconium implant. White SKY is a one-piece implant made of zirconium oxide, which represents a biocompatible material. The implants made from this material are recommended for patients who have allergy to metals. Zirconium implants are an ideal solution to get front teeth and recover beautiful aesthetical look without any risk of metal to be visible through soft tissue in case patients have wide smile that shows the gums or thin biotype of gums.

DiviDent and Bredent Medical are planning to put together similar surgeries and donate the proceeds for charity purposes every year in Armenia and Georgia.
