Turkey will be Destroyed in Visible Future: Arman Navasardyan

“Although there are different comments in Armenia, that recognition of the Armenian Genocide by German Bundestag was simply an egocentric and political decision, Germany did it out of its interests, however, the document was a crucial phenomenon regarding international law,” Arman Navasardyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, told reporters today.

“One should estimate that important human content, which that step bears. This was a great decision by the great nation and was linked not only to the policy led by Turkey 100 years ago, but self-critics and remorse. And it was expected. Recently against the background of our diplomatic shortcomings this was a very good step by Germany,” he said, adding that our diplomacy should take some steps: firstly, MFA should continue recognition process by the force of inertia and exert efforts in Great Britain as well, where we have a very good Ambassador, Armen Sargsyan, “Europe’s attention should be attached to the South Caucasus and told—look, you condemned Turkey’s actions, but the policy led by Azerbaijan is not a less villain policy. In fact, Azerbaijan attempts to commit the second genocide. We may use this and direct the EU to settle Karabakh issue out of justice and international law principles.”

In his words, to all probabilities, English Parliament will recognize the Armenian Genocide in near future, “Besides that France should be boosted to adopt the component of criminalization, which it withdrew once. Parallel to all this, Armenia should raise the issue of compensation. All the processes fact, that in near future Turkey will be destroyed.”

According to the Ambassador Germany took that step, as it was obliged, “Germany was tired of impudent policy led by Erdogan, in particular, regarding migrants. Merkel in her turn surpassed the red line and forcedly took that step to suspend Erdogan’s turmoil.”
