Are these People Captives of this Tax Plan? This is Sabotage against Armenia: Gurgen Arsenyan
At today’s NA consultation on draft Tax Code Gurgen Arsenyan, head of “United Labour” Party, stated that he is categorically against the submitted draft.
“Isn’t it surprising, that representatives of both opposition and political majority similarly criticize the Tax Code. A question arises here: is this the Tax Code of political majority? Is this the philosophy of Hovik Abrahamyan regarding Armenia’s economy? Political statements made here were edifying something different, that conditions of householders in Armenia should be eased, ours should be made an attractive country, so that people strived to work,” he said, stressing that Armenia’s householders are being touched upon that of a hunt:
“Are you the hunters and they are the hunt? Do we go ahead new elections with this Tax Code? What expectations do you have? This is sabotage against Armenia’s citizen, and will lead to another migration. What does it mean to bring? They say 118 million turnover tax was temporary, and we need to decrease it. What has happened that you decided to decrease? Are these people taken prisoners for implementation of tax plans? Are they captives, that you are keeping our mouths shut, and we say everything is for the army, to turn out that not everything is good in the army? Respectable MPs, you are not the people to be able to take Armenia’s economy as a captive. Armenia’s economy votes by feet—it migrates. The best layer of workers has departed from Armenia, and is working in other country.”
According to him this is sabotage against our country. Applying to the political majority, he warned that one shouldn’t allow such approaches to become dominant in Armenia, “Armenia has always been a country of working people. Political majority is implementing a foreign program how to finally bury Armenia’s economy and empty the country. They say—this one should be increased, that one—decreased, are we captives of ourselves?”
Gurgen Arsenyan highlighted he would visit presidential office, have a separate talk with the president to prove that the Tax Code is a sabotage against the Republic of Armenia.
“It’s high time that the political majority and opposition said their decisive word. If you don’t say that decisive word, tomorrow we’ll face disastrous implications.”
