Ombudsman Follows the Publications on Reported Detentions of Citizens

The office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia has received a number of complaints that the police have detained several citizens. As informed from Armenia’s Ombudsman’s office, they also closely follow the media publications as well. “At this very moment, as a rapid reaction, the representatives of the Ombudsman’s office visit the police departments, where reportedly the detained citizens are kept,” the statement of the Ombudsman’s office runs.
