We don’t Want a Bloodshed: Hunan Poghosyan
“They are keeping 6 policemen as hostages and they’re armed. The wounded have been moved to the hospital, corpse of the dead policeman was moved as well. A police operator has been wounded as well,” Hunan Poghosyan, Deputy Police Chief, told reporters, “My condolences to the family of the killed policeman. He was our and my friend, one of the best. From the wounded health condition of the two is extremely critical, of the two—critical, they have been moved both to civil hospitals and “Muratsan” Hospital Complex.”
Commenting on the number of attackers, he stated it was a group, “Let me not state numbers.”
He stated that they attacked in peaceful conditions, “They entered the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment, murdered the policeman providing my, your, our security, and didn’t get an equal reply by the policeman.”
The Deputy Police Chief called on to follow official newsfeed, “For instance, it’s being touched upon on taking the airports, however, it’s not true, what occurred and is still ongoing is developing inside the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment building. If they say that they’ve taken our armaments, then they’re mistaken, it was initially an armed attack. Probably they possess explosives as well. Control has been properly implemented, we simply don’t want a bloodshed.”
