Developments in Yerevan have no connection with ongoing NK conflict negotiations: Stanislav Tarasov
“The authorities should find a mutually acceptable solution with the people taking the Police patrol regiment,” Stanislav Tarasov, columnist at Regnum agency, Russian political analyst, told 168.am touching upon the developments in Yerevan.
He stated that “Sasna Tsrer” group members are not criminals, however, what they do, is crime from the perspective of the state. According to Tarasov, this is the formulation of the occurrences.
Thus, according to the Russian political scientist, delicate solution should be provided to this situation.
“How can Serzh Azatich choose the way of self-destruction, when he’s surrounded by enemies, on account of country’s resources, including human ones? Destruction will mean exertion of sharp force. Life of any person has high value for Armenia’s president, moreover, when it refers some of his supporters. Thus, it’s necessary to come to a mutually acceptable, equal dialogue with the group members.
The authorities should listen to the voice of the opposition, the authorities are not always clever, thus, they should listen to the word, discontent of the opposition, the authorities should act making use of constructive, opposition powers, and should attempt to find an acceptable solution, despite the fact, that they don’t like methods of Sefilian and his supporters. The sides should attempt to find ways to launch a political-diplomatic dialogue,” Tarasov said.
According to the latter, to soothe the moods of the group members, the authorities should provide some security guarantees to them, as the group members have only taken police HQ, and not the building of the Parliament or any other state building.
“Yes, they reflect positions existent in the country, they should be regulated and negotiations should be launched with them. There is no other way out, otherwise, critical manifestations in Armenia will continue,” the analyst said.
Touching upon the viewpoints, that the initiated activity in Armenia has connection with NK conflict ongoing process, on account of the talks, that a package is put on the negotiation table, pursuant which the Armenian side should go to territorial withdrawal, Stanislav Tarasov said, that those talks are false.
“Serzh Sargsyan recently signed one legal document, it’s the protocol signed in St. Petersburg during the meeting with Aliyev, and everything is enshrined in it. Today OSCE MG U.S. Co-Chair appeared with a statement that they’re organizing a meeting, which should touch upon the monitoring group, the necessity of such conditions, in case of which the ceasefire will be possible to maintain, only after that shift to conflict peaceful settlement process is anticipated.
Thus, real documents should be observed, and Azerbaijani press grounds on fake data—“Lavrov plan,” conceding of 5 districts, this is not confirmed through any real fact. Thus, it’s useless to discuss it,” Regnum columnist said.
