2017 to be a more successful economic year: Gagik Makaryan
Armenia’s real GDP comprises 9,5 billion. Temps of economic growth have been painted and the new government introduced the real snapshot. Gagik Makaryan, Head of the National Union of Employers, told at today’s discussion on economic situation in 2016.
According to him, it was due to improvement of Russia’s economy that we summed up 2016 with 0.5 percent economic growth.
“In some fields growth has been recorded, and in some—decrease, however, the platform, built with incumbent government’s efforts will give its results this year—2017 is going to be a more successful economic year,” G.Makaryan said, adding that economic growth in the world has positive tendency, global 3-4 percent economic growth is anticipated, however, considerable growth won’t be recorded in Armenia. “Under 1 percent economic growth in Russia export index from Armenia may increase by 10 percent,” he said.
The speaker assessed regretful the fact that Armenia, as a country of wine, Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member, isn’t capable of exporting more to that market, than Georgia.
