New Constitution will open new path for independence of Karabakh: MEP Jaromír Štětina

The Constitutional referendum in Karabakh fully complied with the international standards, MEP Jaromír Štětina said on February 21, while summarizing the preliminary results of the observation mission during the voting.

“I congratulate the Nagorno Karabakh Republic for organizing this kind of referendum. This referendum together with the new Constitution will open a new path for independence of Karabakh,” he said.

MEP Jaromír Štětina said the referendum will in no way impact the peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. “The people expressed their will through the referendum,” the MEP said
