Karen Karapetyan gives several instructions

Today’s Cabinet meeting PM Karen Karapetyan started with traditional instructions. The PM commented on the irrigation water loss problem which results from water release from Sevan Lake. The PM said every year water is released from the Sevan Lake for irrigation, but water losses occur during that process and this issue must be solved.

“The huge water losses are being spoken about for many years, however this problem hasn’t been solved until now. This issue must be solved, so we can effectively use our water resources,” he said.

The PM tasked the Minister of Nature Protection, the Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources and the Chairman of the State Water Economy Committee to discover the illegal irrigation users prior to them releasing water form Sevan Lake and bring them to a legal field.

The PM tasked the Minister of Justice to submit the draft on legal security concept and targeted action plan of its implementation, also carry out research of sub-normative legal acts, and implement it in compliance with the Constitution, Constitutional laws and law requirements.

K.Karapetyan assigned to submit a report in a 3-week period on the process of developing draft laws which should be amended, adopted and changed as a result of implementing Constitutional change.
