Solovyov: Where was Armenia’s Ambassador to Russia during the April War?
“Unfortunately, not all possibilities of Armenian diplomacy are put into action,” Vladimir Solovyov, Russian prominent TV host (Duel), writer author of “The President” (2015) and “World Order” documentaries, told reporters today in Yerevan, reflecting to reasons of the April War and “weight” of current parties to the conflict in the process of NK conflict settlement.
Asked currently in whose favor the scale is regarding NK conflict, Solovyov said such questions are becoming clear at the end of the “game”. He considers the game hasn’t ended yet.
“Who’s the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Russia? Do you know him? Maybe you know by position, and do you know who’s the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia? Polad Bülbüloğlu, he is a bright personality. I don’t understand one thing. Look, how many ethnic Armenians there are in Russia’s State Duma—senators, when April developments started, where were they? Why didn’t they initiate hearings in the State Duma? Where was the Ambassador and his activity? Where is the activeness of people, who were to stand and say, “These are our interests and etc.” Those days the Ambassador should have been everywhere. Of course there is systemization of relations between your and Russia’s presidents, their relations are good, otherwise there wouldn’t be May 9, and the situation wouldn’t be settled that way.”
Reflecting to reasons of April developments, Dmitry Solovyov hinted that Azerbaijani authorities need to do something, as Azerbaijan is the side demanding lands, thus, something should be done to that end. “It’s clear that they also heated it, it’s clear that it was a secondary game, in fact, it was necessary to involve Russia in all this, we calculate it, we realize the issue as follows: we’d take a sharp step and will totally lose relations with Armenia, as kind NGOs appear immediately and state: where are you Russians, what do you do? Or the same will be heard from Azerbaijan, and what? Russia obtains hard condition on its borders. They don’t realize that we aren’t guys, everything is being calculated and perceived, including implications,” Solovyov said.
