No one will doubt election results: CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly observer mission
Leaders of the observer group of the CIS InterParliamentary Assembly are sure in the fair and transparent process of Armenia’s parliamentary election. Boleslav Pirshtuk, Vice Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and coordinator of the CIS InterParliamentary Assembly observer group for Armenia’s parliamentary election, told reporters in the Armenian parliament that the confidence comes from the provisions of the newly adopted Electoral Code and the processes which were held in the pre-election stage.
“Our Armenian colleagues carried out big works in designing the Electoral Code at its best, which was adopted through a universal agreement of political forces, meaning it is a totally agreed document. We hope that the elections will pass well for all forces and for the benefit of the people. We are sure that no political force will have doubts on the results of the election.
The Electoral Code contains numerous nuances, which were mediated in the past and were sometimes criticized by both voters and all competitors running for their seats in the parliament. As a result, the CEC didn’t receive almost any complaint from the candidates. This proves that the work is calmly done within the framework of a functioning, professional legislation,” Boleslav Pirshtuk said, adding representatives of the CIS countries intend to use numerous provisions of the Armenian legislation in their countries.
