Decrease in prices recorded only in Armenia’s consumer market compared to other EEU member states

Armenia is the only country among the EEU member states where prices in consumer market decreased in February compared to January 2017.

According to the data of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the prices in Armenia’s consumer market decreased by 0.9% in February compared to January, whereas compared to February 2016, the decrease was 0.4%.

Meanwhile, in Belarus a 0.5% increase of consumer prices was registered in February 2017. It increased by 7% in February 2017 compared to February 2016.

Kazakhstan’s consumer price index increased by 1% in February compared to January, while compared to February 2016, the increase comprised 7.8%.

Increase of prices in Kyrgyzstan’s consumer market comprised 0.6% in February compared to January, whereas the increase in February 2016 was 1.3%.

The consumer prices in Russia increased by 0.2% in February compared to the previous month, and by 4.6% compared to February 2016. The EEU consumer price index increased by 4.8% in February 2017 compared to February 2016.
