I’ll never forget the “tears” the rain made on the tips of the 12 slabs, each representing the 12 Armenian provinces that perished during the Genocide. 102 years later and still we are fighting for recognition and justice.

The tragedy of our times reminds us more and more not just that genocides continue, but that the new generation of perpetrators continue to expand their leverage through denial and more acts of mass violence and killings today in South eastern Turkey & Syria, on the very same deserts and roads that silently bore witness to the erasure of the Western Armenian, Greek and Assyrian indigenous populations.”
