Junior sergeant charged with negligent manslaughter of serviceman
Contract serviceman A. Sargsyan has been charged for negligent manslaughter of contract serviceman Narek Hakobyan. Earlier it was reported that 31 year old serviceman Narek Hakobyan was fatally wounded on April 21 during ֆիeld exercises in Vayots Dzor province.
A junior sergeant of the same base, A. Sargsyan, violated safety precautions while handling his service weapon and accidentally discharged a round, which hit Hakobyan in the head. The junior sergeant has been remanded in custody.
