I think for the citizens of Armenia the priority were not Western, pro-Russian, pro-European positions, the primary requirement was developing political, economic, social issues. If there is intention to improve the situation in this field, it isn’t obligatory that the political power was Western or pro-Russian.
The Armenian Genocide themed movie ‘The Promise’ was screened at Vatican on April 4, Variety reported. It was attended by movie director Terry George, producer Eric Esrailian, stars Shohreh Aghdashloo and James Cromwell and by singer-songwriter Chris Cornell, who composed the theme song. Eric Esrailian recalled the visit of Pope Francis to Armenia last year, telling about the reaction of Armenian people when Pope Francis used the term ‘genocide’.
“I hope I will manage to clearly present Artsakh and its situation to our Diaspora Armenians, artists, with whom I communicate. I will call on them to visit Artsakh and spend time to get acquainted with this wonderful country.”
“I would really like to visit Artsakh again someday and perform and bring other artists with me if am able to. Now, the most important is to talk about Artsakh and present it to different people in different places. Everyne must know that Artsakh is a very beautiful country and the people here wait for everyone with love and smiles. I hope my solo concert in Artsakh wont’ be delayed,” he said.
