Discussions will be held on dates of holding snap parliamentary elections – Nikol Pashinyan

MP Nikol Pashinyan, officially nominated by the Yelk faction as candidate for the Prime Minister of Armenia, considers necessary holding snap parliamentary elections after the election of the PM.

Following the meeting with the Tsarukyan faction MPs in the Parliament on April 30, PM candidate Pashinyan told reporters that discussions will be held over the dates on holding snap parliamentary elections.

“But before the snap elections, we must be convinced that we have created all preconditions for holding free and transparent elections. We need elections the results of which will not cause any doubt among anyone”, he said.

As for the meeting with the Tsarukyan faction MPs, Pashinyan informed that they have discussed the current inner-political situation in Armenia and its solution ways. The MP said the Tsarukyan faction assured that they will vote in favor of his candidacy at the May 1 election.

Asked for what the Tsarukyan faction promised to support his candidacy during the election, Pashinyan said: “I want to state that we have not discussed such issue, and I think it would not be correct if we discussed such issue”.

Nikol Pashinyan will also have meetings with the ARF and RPA factions.
