No foreign force involved in Armenian revolution, Pashinyan to TASS
In an interview to the Russian TASS news agency Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the need that Russia perceives right the reasons of the 2018 revolution in Armenia and doesn’t view it in the list of colorful revolutions.
“Last year a peaceful, velvet and democratic revolution took place in Armenia. For us it’s very important that all layers of the Russian public perceive right its essence and reasons. As, unfortunately, till now many expert circles in Russia are trying to include what has happened in Armenia in the list of the so-called colorful revolutions, it’s very important that our Russian friends and partners understand that what has happened has no geopolitical subtext and no foreign force has been involved in these processes. This is an issue of national and my personal dignity. The interpretation that someone has used the Armenian people for his geopolitical goals insults us. Armenia is an independent country which has independent people with high sense of dignity”, Pashinyan said.
The PM added that Armenia will continue to be a reliable partner for those countries which consider our country as reliable.
“Being a reliable partner is very important for us. We will be a reliable partner for all those whom we consider as reliable partners. There can be no doubt in this regard. But those who are not reliable, we need to assess whether we should view them as a reliable partner for us”, the PM said.
