Rep. Brad Sherman urges Washington to react to Turkey’s deployment of jihadists against Artsakh
US Congressman Brad Sherman has called on the US State Department to react to Turkey’s deployment of jihadists to the NK conflict zone where the Azeri forces are using these foreign fighters as mercenaries against Artsakh.
“Today, I spoke to Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent and U.S. OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Andrew Schofer about reports that Turkey is recruiting and deploying fighters from “jihadist groups” in Syria to the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border,” the congressman tweeted.
“I urged State Dept to continue to push Turkey that the deployment of foreign fighters in the region is unacceptable and will be met by a response from the United States.”
There are numerous confirmed data that the Azeri forces are using Syrian jihadist terrorist groups as mercenaries in the attacks on Artsakh.
This information has been confirmed by the Armenian intelligence agency, French President Emmanuel Macron, by Russia’s intelligence agency, by the Pentagon, and also by Syria’s Assad.
