Closed meeting between Karen Andreasyan and Grigor Minasyan; coming to the meeting place separately, leaving one by one. Facebook user
A while ago, 168.am received a link to a post by a fake user named Monte Cristo.
The link, by the way, is public and anyone can read its contents. The post is accompanied by a video and photos.
The video refers to the meeting between Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan, who initiated disciplinary proceedings against judges, and Karen Andreasyan, the president of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), which examines those proceedings, on June 23 in a cafe in Yerevan.
We present the publication holistically, intact.
ILLEGAL MEETINGS OF KAREN ANDREASYAN AND GRIGOR MINASYAN
Dear compatriots, first of all, I would like to point out that I am intentionally acting in disguise, because I am aware of repressions against those fighting for justice in Armenia, up to the point of beating lawyers. The material I am posting has been provided to me by someone who has chosen to remain anonymous for the reasons stated above.
Thus, since the appointment of Karen Andreasyan as the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, the press regularly talks about his friendship and business ties with the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia (before that, Deputy Minister, Acting Minister) Grigor Minasyan and notes that this is a basis for Karen Andreasyan to withdraw from the cases of disciplinary proceedings of judges presented by Grigor Minasyan to the Supreme Judicial Council. In almost all such cases, the judges submitted these petitions, but the SJC rejected all the petitions without exception. Among the mentioned circumstances, Karen Andreasyan, as a judge, is forbidden to meet Grigor Minasyan, as a party to the proceedings, during the examination of the disciplinary proceedings, in which the Minister of Justice is the one who submits the petition to the SJC. However, it turns out that these days, when two such proceedings and such meetings are being investigated in the SJC, they still secretly meet.
Those meetings take place not too far from the SJC building, in the Rosemary cafe located at 24/1 Isahakyanstreet, which is located next to Grigor Minasyan’s residence and, according to our information, belongs to Minasyan himself.
Meetings usually take place as follows.
Andreasyan and Minasyan arrive at the meeting place separately, a few minutes apart, they hold the meeting in a closed hall, after which they leave the area again a few minutes apart. Apparently, they are well aware that they have no right to allow such meetings during judges’ disciplinary proceedings, so they do their best to keep their meetings out of the public eye.
Naturally, they do not inform the judges who are punished with their “interference” about their secret meetings.
I am publishing a photo from their meeting held on June 23, between 12:50 and 13:40, which shows them sitting at the same table.
I don’t think they meet to admire each other’s faces. I am also posting two videos, of which Grigor Minasyan leaves the area at the very beginning, Karen Andreasyan 3-4 minutes after that, and Hayk Grigoryan, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, almost in between.
The most shameful thing is that after all this, Karen Andreasyan and Grigor Minasyan continue to brazenly claim that their friendship and business relations do not affect the disciplinary proceedings of judges. Maybe after this post they will explain what they discuss in their secret meetings. The veracity of this publication can be verified by cameras in the cafe or by questioning the waiters, unless, of course, they immediately destroy these materials or fire the waiters in one day.”
