U.S. Embassy and Coca-Cola HBC Armenia Sign Youth Cooperation Framework

On June 23, U.S. Embassy Yerevan and Coca-Cola HBC Armenia signed a Cooperation Framework to support youth empowerment, skills development, and expanded employment opportunities across Armenia.

The Framework was signed by David Allen, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of U.S. Embassy Yerevan, and Elina Markaryan, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director at Coca-Cola HBC Armenia.

The initiative aims to enhance youth employability, strengthen competitiveness in the labor market, and foster leadership and entrepreneurial skills among young people in Armenia.

The cooperation is implemented within Coca-Cola HBC Armenia’s “Youth Empowered” program, a key Corporate Social Responsibility initiative active in Armenia since 2018. The program supports young people aged 15–35 through life and business skills training and career guidance. Its free online courses have reached more than 40,000 participants who have received certificates.

“Youth are among Armenia’s greatest strengths, and investing in their development is investing in the country’s future. Through this partnership, we are expanding opportunities for young people to gain skills, explore careers, and contribute to their communities. We are proud to support initiatives that empower youth and create new opportunities across Armenia,” Chargé d’Affaires a.i. David Allen stated.

Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Elina Markaryan said: “‘Youth Empowered’ is a long-term investment in Armenia’s youth. Since 2018, we have helped young people build the skills and confidence needed for today’s world. This cooperation with the U.S. Embassy will expand access to learning and help more youth unlock their potential and build better futures.”

Through the Embassy’s American Spaces network in Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Kapan, and Charentsavan, the cooperation will support trainings, mentoring, career guidance, and other youth-focused programs.

The partners expressed confidence that this cooperation will equip young people with skills needed for the labor market and open new pathways for professional and personal growth.
