Nothing is forgotten: Sir Elton John introduces Armenian Genocide themed film
Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party hosted by Sir Elton John and David Furnish raised a record-breaking USD 7 million for the global effort to end AIDS, the EJAF reported.
The ANCA reported Elton John saying: “Nothing is forgotten, it’s what happened during the Armenian Genocide.”
Hollywood Guests arrived at the Academy Awards Viewing Party for cocktails followed by a gala dinner and viewing of the 89th Academy Awards® telecast.
During the evening, Elton and David introduced– The Promise – the movie which tells the story of the Armenian Genocide.
The Promise team at Survival Pictures has taken the unprecedented step of making the commitment to donate all proceeds from the film to nonprofit organizations including EJAF and other humanitarian groups. The Promise is directed by Terry George and starring Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac.
