Jailed ex-MP Manvel Grigoryan taken to civilian hospital again
Jailed ex-MP Manvel Grigoryan has been once again transferred to a civilian hospital amid deteriorating health. He has been taken to Nairi Medical Center in Yerevan.
Earlier, the European Court of Human Rights postponed the application of an interim measure concerning the case of retired general, former Armenian lawmaker Manvel Grigoryan, the Armenian Government Representation before the European Court of Human Rights reported through its official website.
“On March 22, the Armenian Government was notified through a communiqué from the ECHR that on March 12 Manvel Grigoryan’s attorney has requested that in accordance to Article 39 of ECHR an interim measure to be applied – binding the Armenian government to immediately transfer Manvel Grigoryan to a civilian hospital under supervision of relevant personnel, as well as to immediately transfer him to a medical facility in France mentioned by him for further diagnostics and treatment.
On March 22, the ECHR has made a decision to postpone the examination of the issue of applying the interim measure, demanding the Armenian government to present relevant information by April 3rd.
Currently the authorized representative of the Armenian government at the ECHR is taking relevant actions to gather the mentioned information, formulate the stance of the Armenian government and present it to the European Court within the defined period of time,” the Armenian Government Representation before the European Court of Human Rights said.
