How much is Avinyan’s dignity worth? At Tigran Avinyan’s request, a lien was placed on the accounts of 168.am in the amount of 9 million drams. Totally 18 million drams
Yesterday we informed that the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan applied to the court regarding the video published on 168.am and the its YouTube channel with the caption “Tigran Avinyan, the newly richman”, demanding an apology, honor, dignity and business reputation from the author of the article, Davit Sargsyan and the media, deny defamatory information and pay monetary compensation.
Let us remind one more time that the defendants in this lawsuit are Davit Sargsyan and “168 Zham” LLC. Tigran Avinyan and his representative, Harutyun Harutyunyan, did not submit a denial claim before applying to the court.
Let’s mark that neither Davit Sargsyan nor 168.am received a notification after the lawsuit was accepted.
168.am received a notice only today, after our publication yesterday, and it was not from the court, but from the Compulsory Enforcement Service.
It turned out that at Tigran Avinyan’s request and his representative, not only to place a lien on the money and property of the journalist in the amount of 9 million drams, Eduard Amalyan, the judge examining the case, also put a another lien in the same amount, i.e. another 9 million, on the accounts of “168 Hours” LLC.
“May 5, 2023, by the court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan city, according to the execution sheet issued No. ED/13020/02/23, in order to secure the Claim, a lien in the amount of AMD 9,000,000.00 should be placed on the property belonging to the respondent “168 Zham” LLC”, it is written in the decision received from the State Council “On initiating enforcement proceedings and placing a lien” .
In other words, the judge granted a request for the application of a security measure in the amount of 18 million drams, without giving notice to the defendant.
We wonder, what the inner conviction of the judge was: are Davit Sargsyan and 168.am terrorists, serial killers, particularly large-scale corruptors, or subjects who have committed some other myriad of crimes, that Tigran made such a decision at Avinyan’s request.
Anyway, as we already said yesterday, we promise an open, public, sound coverage of this case. Moreover, in the near future we will present many episodes related to Tigran Avinyan, who is aspiring for the position of mayor of Yerevan, and the persons connected with him.
