Richard Giragosian was hospitalized in Istanbul, according to the Regional Studies Center, which he leads.

It is with deep concern that we inform you that our Center’s Director, Richard Giragosian, has been hospitalized in Istanbul.

Richard had traveled to Istanbul on business, but over the past week his health deteriorated. He has been diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage.

Richard Giragosian is currently in the intensive care unit at Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu Hospital. It will become clear in the coming days whether the hemorrhage has caused any lasting damage.
