The National Security Service of Armenia presents details on the arrest of Founding Parliament member Alek Yenigomshyan. Within the framework of the criminal case initiated in the National Security Service (NSS) regarding the July 17 ambush and capture of the Police precinct by gunmen, at 19:50 on July 27 citizen of Armenia Ara Alexander V. Komshuyan (Alek Yenigomshyan) was detained and later arrested at 22:30.
Alek Yenigomshyan was detained yesterday. His attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan told 168.am. according to him, Alek Yenigomshyan has been detained in the National Security of Armenia (NSS), within the investigated criminal case. In his words, they applied to the Ombudsman to record the violations. Currently Alek Yenigomshyan is in the detention cell.

Pavel Manukyan, member of “Sasna Tsrer” group, declared a hunger strike. His attorney Inessa Petrosyan told this 168.am. RA Ministry of Health published photos of doctors taken as hostages by the gunmen–Margaryan Malina, Khechoyan Salvador, Tonoyan David and Tevanyan Norayr. Earlier members of the armed group took the abmulance brigade as hostage, which arrived in the territory of the Police patrol regiment.
“It is planned to continue extensive negotiations to resolve the conflict with the involvement of senior officials from each side,” said Warlick. “Progress in the diplomatic direction is required to reduce tensions between the parties.”
