We should differ local elections from the modern political history of Armenia. Unfortunately this political history is not written in the same manner as the history of the first and second republics. We don’t have the political history of the Armenian kingdoms either.
During a recent parliamentary session convoked for the purpose of discussing tax concessions to the International School of Dilijan RPA’s Edward Sharmazanov said that the discussion reminded him of a tale for children, and the opposition was in rival for a better cover version of the tale. In fact Sharmazanov subconsciously reflected reiterated the strategy the authorities are using to blow the minds of people.
In order to insure them from possible failures the government of Armenia has lately started to apply a new method. It can be conditionally called a method of trust.
In parallel with the decline of activity in Armenia’s political sector, certain processes are happening around Armenia’s geopolitical situation. Namely, the Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrorv made a statement containing “Azerbaijani territories” in reference to the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, which was followed by a report that Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan was not going to participate in the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Bishkek.
Do you hear this expression first time? You might have not heard it because they usually caress our ears by using more attractive expressions, such as a science-based economy.
We have chosen a model for saving wealth, which is called a Western model. By making money a god for us, we have started to stab each other, annihilated our economy, science, education, and everyone is thinking about grabbing something from others. If someone has taken the power, he is using that power to accumulate wealth.
In one of the previous releases of our newspaper we have adverted to the fact that Yerevan’s budget is small, the means are limited and therefore it’s impossible to expect serious projects from city authorities.
As the pre-election campaign for Yerevan city council is going on, the 7 participating political powers are presenting their platforms and promising that they can give the best to the city. The only party that differs with its campaign strategy is the RPA, which is trying to prove that during their management in the municipality the city has become more beautiful and those years were successful for the capital city of Armenia.
Due to post-electoral processes international news was pushed backward. And on those days one of the key news was the death of the 71st Prime Minister of Great Britain Margaret Thatcher. The most powerful and famous politician of the mid-20th century died.
Mkrtich Mihran Janan was one of the Armenian intelligentsia representatives who were invited to Soviet Armenia due to the persistent efforts of Alexander Myasnikyan in 1921-1925. Others among the invited people were Hrachya Acharyan, Hakob Kodjoyan, Alexander Tamanyan, Martiros Saryan, Alexander Spendaryan, Vahram Papazyan, Hrachya Nersisyan and Arus Voskanyan.
