There is a Big Disguised Russia-USA Accord Regarding Crimea, Donetsk, Artsakh and Other Issues: Vigen Hakobyan

“If before military operations of April 2 it was considered, that everything was decided, and authorities intended to develop their future government coalition, everything seemed peaceful and shaped, configuration was to develop in its direction, after April 2 they underwent certain changes,” Vigen Hakobyan, analyst, political technologist told at today’s press conference.

In his words, we shouldn’t forget, that the only real regime change was recorded under the Artsakh factor, and present-day situation, to some extent, resembles it, “Again main project is on the table—Madrid principles and Kazan document, which very much resembles the package of those times. Not accidentally, first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan got actively engaged with the game. This may initiate some concerns as well. Levon Ter-Petrosyan is in Karabakh and meets its authorities, we may just guess what kind of negotiations were held, as Levon Ter-Petrosyan is known with the ability to compromise, even to such a compromise, which used to be called defeatist, as a result of which palace revolution of 1998 took place. In this regard, I consider, Karabakh factor may affect further domestic policy developments. ”

According to the analyst, for the time being negotiations linked to Artsakh issue have failed and the problem is not in the fact that there is no military settlement as well, as leading powers won’t let any of the sides to be completely defeated,

“Probability of wide-scale war shouldn’t be excluded, however, the world won’t allow big changes for this moment, although, probably, changes of kilometers may be recorded. Geo-political center isn’t interested in global changes to occur in the region. I consider there is a disguised big Russia-USA accord—Crimea, Donetsk, Artsakh and other issues. Currently we need a new document for negotiations, however, as soon as the situation hasn’t calmed down, it’s useless speaking of negotiations.”

Touching upon the statement by Hermine Naghdalyan, RA Deputy Speaker, on retreating certain territories, the analyst didn’t exclude that likewise statement was recorded to feel moods of the society.

“I don’t consider Hermine Naghdalyan is that naïve, as she’s baked in domestic processes.”
