Armenian MP of the Turkish Parliament Showed Photos of Armenian MPs Massacred in 1915
Garo Paylan, Armenian Member of Parliament of the Turkish Parliament, an MP from the pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP) of Turkey, at yesterday’s session greeted the participants in Armenian, and started his speech by describing the Ottoman Empire in the beginning of the 20th century then showed photos of the massacred Armenian MPs : KriKor Zohrab, Nazaret Taghavaryan, Garabet Pasayan, Gegham Ter-Karapetyan, Bedros Halajyan, Ohannes Serengulyan, Onnik Tertsakyan, Hampardzum Boyajyan, Vahan Papazyan, Hakob Papikyan, Garegin Bastrmajyan, Hakob Boyajyan.
He announced that a parliamentary commission needs to be set up to investigate the 1915 massacre of the Armenian members of the then Ottoman parliament. He demanded to locate their corpses and properly bury them. Paylan compared Talaat, Enver and Djemal Pashas with Hitler.
On his Twitter microblog Paylan made a post that 101 years later they are back to the Parliament.
Garo Paylan ended his speech by saying, “May God rest their soul,” in Armenian. His speech was followed by applauses.
