Statements by Zhirinovsky on Armenia have Nothing to do with the Policy Pursued by the Kremlin: Dubnov
“With his scandalous statements Vladimir Zhirinovsky solves other issue,” Vadim Dubnov, Russian political analyst said, touching upon the statement by RF MP Vladimir Zhirinovsky covering recent dramatic developments. Note, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, RF State Duma MP, leader of Russian Liberal-Democratic Party, stated that “I don’t give a damn to Armenia as well…”
He also threatened that the Russian side will withdraw the 102nd military base deployed in Armenia. Tigran Balayan, Spokesman at RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reflecting to the statement by RF MP Vladimir Zhirinovsky, told 168.am that nobody attempts to comment or understand his words. “It’s been a long time that nobody attempts to understand the logic of his statements, there is no interest either,” Tigran Balayan said. Vadim Dubnov stated that target audience of all reflections of Vladimir Zhirinovsky, are different, in particular “weak,” “exhausted” layers of Russian society.
According to the Russian analyst Zhirinovsky, touching upon Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Tajiks and other people, of the so-called “alien black people,” attempts to build a political line for himself and gain dividends in the eyes of that layer.
“He has been busy with this for already 100 years with the authorities, he is good at it, as he interests and satisfies a wide layer of Russian society, however, it has nothing to do with the official policy by the Kremlin, as Zhirinovsky simply solves other issue for himself and that layer of the society,” Dubnov said.
