Responsible Persons should be Held Accountable: Hovik Abrahamyan

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has instructed to bring to responsibility persons who were involved in state procurement procedures for the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, whose actions resulted in shortcomings.

Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Arsen Karamyan asked for permission during the Cabinet meeting for organizing procurement procedures, adding that the ministry had to form and approve a procurement application within 60 business days.

However, for some programs, the demand wasn’t possible to maintain. “I think the ministry failed here, you should seriously deal with this and you shouldn’t violate the deadlines for tenders. Now we are making an unprecedented decision, this won’t happen next time. Responsible persons should be held accountable,” the PM said.
