Karen Karapetyan Gave a Recommendation to SRC
Armenian newly appointed PM Karen Karapetyan gave a recommendation to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
It referred to fight against corruption in Armenia. Karen Karapetyan said that he establishes new commissions, however, at the moment he wants to formulate the recommendation of SRC.
“Firstly, our departments should implement their functions. Out of this, they should provide immediate implementation of fiscal discipline of big producers and importers, perceived as not disciplined and preferential. Secondly, tax inspections should be implemented exclusively in subjects considered risky, refer to SMEs in urgent cases, exclude possible subject behavior of tax officers and provide transparency of their activity,” Karen Karapetyan said, stating that these activities should be performed without creating obstacles for the business, and inspection and formulation shouldn’t prevent their daily activity.
Karen Karapetyan proposed to Public Service Regulatory Commission, Ministers of energy and natural resources, labor and social issues to jointly discuss and submit proposals regarding review of gas and electricity tariff policy.
“To maximally reduce tariff of the socially needy on account of other consumers, logically, provide boosting influence of the tariffs for business, in particular, for the branches of agriculture and reproduction,” he said, adding that all these should be implemented not on account of the budget, but of household subjects, which provide that service.
