This is a very good country, and there is future here: Ara Abrahamyan

According to Ara Abrahamyan, president of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Armenia needs unity to record development. Ara Abrahamyan told about this reporters today at the Forum of the Eurasian Partnership, reflecting to Armenia’s internal political changes.

He stated, that Armenia’s former PM Hovik Abrahamyan did as much as he was able. “When we observe the data, how much Armenia’s GDP has grown, we may see that growth has been recorded, it was more than that of Russia—5%, 4%. He did as much as he could. Now the new Government, I know Mister Karapetyan quite well. We should all understand one point: to work productively, efforts should be united, we should unite all our reserves, potential,” Abrahamyan said, adding that only as a result of power combination the country will speedily move forward. Meanwhile, in his qualification, “The power of Diaspora isn’t being used, at best 1%.”

According to Ara Abrahamyan, we should put an end to the tradition of continuous complaining. He told that it’s the third day he’s in Armenia and he hears how people say that Armenia isn’t a place to live, there is no future in Armenia. According to Ara Abrahamyan, “This is a very good country, and there is future here. We should change the mentality. Economic condition is rather bad, I see people in our village, who need help. There are many people in Armenia, who really need help, however, this doesn’t mean that we should say to one another that this isn’t a place to live, the authorities are not good ones, it’s not so. We should be able to appear in unity. We should change our ideology in Armenia and Diaspora.”

To the question at which stage works on development of his political party are, Ara Abrahamyan replied, “My political programs continue.”
