CSTO adopted a statement on NK conflict settlement

At the session of Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) launched on October 14, a statement has been adopted on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, which was published on their official website.

It’s enshrined in the statement that the CSTO expresses its support on agreements reached on May 16 and June 20 in Vienna and St. Petersburg around NK conflict settlement, aimed at inadmissibility of situation sharpening on the conflict zone, as well as boosting situation stabilization and peaceful process.

“We confirm the necessity of exclusively peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh issue, we express our support to the efforts of OSCE MG Co-Chairs, tended to Karabakh conflict settlement, which will be based on the norms and principles of international law, the UN Charter and the Helsinki Final Act, namely the non-use of force or the threat of force, the territorial integrity of states and the right of peoples to self-determination,” the statement reads.
