Shavarsh Kocharyan on step-by-step option of NK conflict settlement

In an interview with “Armenpress” Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan commented on the step-by-step settlement option of Nagorno Karabakh conflict advocated by Azerbaijan.

Mr. Kocharyan, how would you comment on the repeated attempts by Azerbaijan to push forward the version of step-bystep settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue?

After Azerbaijan’s attempt at the beginning of this April to repeat aggression against the self-determined NagornoKarabakh Republic it became clear to everyone that if Azerbaijan rejects the packaged settlement of the issue, then there is only one version of step-by-step settlement. I.e. Azerbaijan recognizes the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, returns the territories of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which are still under its occupation, and applies to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with the initiative to launch negotiations on the delimitation of the state border between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh.
