Lavrov stated purpose of Russian Ambassador’s assassination in Ankara
Organizers of the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov will not manage to undermine the process of normalizing Russian-Turkish relations, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a commentary published in the Russian MFA’s official website.
“It’s a terrible tragedy. We are deeply grateful to all Russian people who today brought flowers despite the late hour. I have received a number of phone calls and e-mails. Russian MFA’s Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also received many condolences and requests from the Russian people to extend their condolences to the family of brutally killed Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov,” the commentary said.
