Artsakh Ombudsman discusses atrocities committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces during the April war and blogger Lapshin’s case with US Congressmen
The official visit of the Human Rights Defender of the Artsakh Republic Ruben Melikyan in the United States continues, the Ombudsman’s Office told.
The visit was organized by the Armenian National Committee of America Eastern Region (ANCA-ER).
Since March 8 Ruben Melikyan attended 33 events, as well as delivered 7 public speeches before the academic community, as well as various circles of the Diaspora.
On March 15-16 the Artsakh Ombudsman presented his concerns in the field of human rights to Congressmen David Valadao, Adam Schiff (California) and Jim McGovern (Massachusetts).
During the meetings the atrocities committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces during the April war, as well as RussianIsraeli blogger Alexander Lapshin’s case were discussed.
