The basis of welfare in our country are the people creating the good: Serzh Sargsyan

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has issued a message on the occasion of the International Worker’s Day. The press service of the Armenian President’s Office informed that he said in his message,

“Dear compatriots,

I heartily congratulate you on the International Worker’s Day. Traditionally the workers of the world celebrate their holiday on May 1 and glorify their fair work. This is indeed a holiday of human dignity.

Peaceful work, fair income and mutual respect are never-ending values, which have found place in our reality as well due to the rich traditions that were established throughout millennia.

Our parents and ancestors transferred these values from generation to generation to us, therefore we are also obliged to transfer them to our children and successors.

Today, when Armenia is an independent state, we have to refresh these values and strengthen them. Diligence, creative and innovative approaches towards work, solidarity of different public layers are the firmest fundaments of the development of our motherland. I am convinced this is the right way of making radical changes in Armenia and modernizing the economy.

Dear compatriots,

The basis of welfare in our country are the people creating the good – I mean you. I once again congratulate on this important holiday and wish that your life is full of interesting and productive work, new ideas, courageous initiatives which will bring light, warmth and welfare to each family of Armenia.”
