RPA, ARF to sign coalition agreement for 2017-2022

The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Armenian Revolutionary federation (ARF) have completed talks on signing a coalition agreement, RPA spokesperson, Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov told the reporters after the Executive Body meeting of the party.

“The talks are already over; I can say the document is already ready. It will be promulgated in the near future,” Sharmazanov said. He added that the document to be signed between the two parties will be called a coalition agreement.

“The Republican Party and the ARF will sign a coalition agreement for 2017-2022,” Sharmazanov said. According to him, issues about the National Assembly President, Vice Presidents or Chairmen of Standing Committees were not discussed at the session.

Sharmazanov did not rule out the number of the National Assembly Standing Committees may be cut, considering the fact that the new parliament will have 150 seats against the for 131 seats of the previous convocation.
