We have an irrevocable duty towards our soldier, our officer: Karen Karapetyan

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan addressed a message on the occasion of Victory and Peace Day on May 9, press service of the Government told. The message says:

“Dear compatriots, Today we celebrate the Victory and Peace Day, the 25- year-old victory of the liberation of Shushi. The most memorable pages of our history are our victories which inspire patriotic deeds and new heroic acts to generations. Armenian people had their worthy contribution in the victory in the Great Patriotic War who fought and left numerous examples of invincibility to future generations.

The establishment of victory and peace has always been appreciated in the life of Armenian people and had a new meaning already by the liberation of Shushi. This double holiday symbolizes our people’s will and commitment to defend their dignity, security and the unbreakable desire to move forward.

In the imposed war the Armenian people proved that they are ready to defend with weapon their right to live freely, independently and peacefully. I already had a chance to say and today I repeat once again that Artsakh is the bordering line where the dignity of our people is decided, and we have an irrevocable duty towards our soldier, our officer.

Their devotion obliges us to strengthen the victories through daily works, to ensure security and move forward with optimistic aspirations of the implementation of national goals.

We bow our heads in front of all soldiers and soldiers-liberators, veterans and heroes who fought and reached victories, and we express our gratitude to all Armenian sons who left a message of selflessness and heroism. I once again congratulate on the Victory Holiday, wish all of us peace, welfare and new achievements.”
