April operations were exam for us to prepare for a larger battle: Movses Hakobyan
Movses Hakobyan, Chief of Staff of RA Armed Forces, told reporters at Victory Park today that nowadays generation is a worthy successor, “Like we became successors of our elders, participating in Great Patriotic War, the same way present generation is the worthy successor of fighters, who created victory.”
Asked whether today’s holiday isn’t “shared” on account of the circumstance that many heroes are under arrest, e.g. Samvel Babayan, he said, “I consider the question neither proper nor I’ll ever respond to it, as it has many contexts, which is intention to darken this holiday.”
Reporters also asked what achievements we had after previous year’s April and if the adversary undertakes provocations what reply we may give.
“Rather big work was carried out after the April operations and for the time being calm situation may be linked only to deeds of Armenian soldiers and reforms implemented in the Armed Forces. The April operations were an exam for us to prepare for a larger battle. I consider, throughout recent year we didn’t come across with any provocation by the adversary, however, every single day, every hour the adversary attempts to harm Armenian soldier, but it won’t succeed.”
