Number of taxi users decreases in Armenia
In January-March 2017 volume of passenger transportation in Armenia comprised 47.1 million persons. Compared with the same period of the previous year passenger transportation decreased by 6.1%. the information is provided by the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
Most part of passenger transportation—around 42 million persons, was implemented through automobiles (decrease by 6.6%).
From the mentioned 42 million persons 1 million 916.9 thousand is shared by taxis. Pursuant official statistics compared with the first quarter of previous year the volume decreased by 13%.
4 million 590.8 thousand persons used electric transport (4% decrease), 69.6 thousand persons—railway (5.7% decrease).
In the first quarter of ongoing year only volume of passenger transportation through air transport has increased by 23.6%. 480.2 thousand persons have been transported through airplanes, from which: 12.3 thousand with Armenian crew.
