Assad attaches importance to deal on creating de-escalation zones in Syria
President of Syria Bashar al-Assad said the deescalation zones in the country provide a real chance to start the political settlement of the conflict.
In an interview with Belarusian TV Channel ONT, Assad said any escalation attempt will be prevented by the military forces of Syria and Russia, with the support of Iran and Hezbollah.
He considered Russia’s initiative as right, however added that certain time is needed for talking about the results.
