PM introduces interim director to NSS top-ranking officers

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced today interim Director of the National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan to the ranking officers of the structure.

Martirosyan was named interim director after Director Artur Vanetsyan’s resignation.

“Mr. Martirosyan’s entire career has been with the National Security Service. This is a very important record. I find the accomplishment of institutions in the Republic of Armenia to be very important and I believe that the NSS is a truly accomplished institution, but we have agreed that our ambitions will gradually grow and as much as any structure is accomplished our main objective must be the continuous increase of its professional level, which doesn’t whatsoever mean that its professional level is anyhow low,” the PM said at the meeting.

Pashinyan then congratulated Martirosyan on assuming office.

Vanetsyan was sacked on September 16th.
