The level and number of guests who have arrived in Armenia shows what reputation the new Armenian government and personally Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are enjoying not only within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union but also outside of it, PM Pashinyan’s spokesperson Vladimir Karapetyan told ARMENPRESS, speaking about the Eurasian Economic Union summit due to kick off in Yerevan on October 1.
A Russian travel and tourism center has included Yerevan in its Top 10 List of Cities to visit in autumn.
Welcoming the Iranian President’s visit to Armenia, President Sarkissian noted: “Interesting times come, but we had interesting times together for thousands of years. And if people search for examples of brotherly, friendly relations, the history of our peoples is the vivid example. As the President of the Republic I am ready to have my small contribution to this big work”.
A while ago, Sargis Ohanjanyan (born in 1991) was apprehended under the criminal case being examined in regard to disrespect towards Judge Anna Danibekyan of the first instance court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan. Narek Mutafyan (born in 1993) has been arrested within the scope of this case.
Among others, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan also condemned what happened to Judge Anna Danibekyan last evening. Anna Danibekyan is the judge examining the case of Robert Kocharyan.
The U.S. and Armenia don’t have good economic ties, and it is rare to believe that those relations will change after Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to the U.S. During his five-day visit, the Prime Minister wasn’t able to have an important meeting or reach an agreement that would allow Armenia to expect positive changes in the economic ties between the two countries.
