Bus traveling to Armenia stopped at Upper Lars checkpoint in suspicion of transporting banned item

A passenger bus traveling to Armenia has been stopped at the Upper Lars border checkpoint in suspicion of transporting a banned item.

The Armenian Embassy in Georgia issued a statement over the incident. “Tonight a bus traveling to Armenia was stopped at the Georgian side of the Upper-Lars border checkpoint in suspicion of transporting a banned item. The Armenian Embassy in Georgia takes actions to ensure the quick transportation of the Armenian passengers of the bus to Armenia. The Embassy’s diplomats will soon visit Upper Lars to get acquainted with the situation and provide food and first necessity goods to the passengers”, the Embassy said in a statement.
