Turkey preparing Syrian mercenaries for deploying in Azerbaijan – The Guardian
Syrian mercenaries under Turkish control are being prepared to be deployed in Azerbaijan, ARMENPRESS reports the Guardian writes.
The Guardian notes that this potential deployment is a sign of Turkey’s growing ambitions in the region. In the frontier of Nagorno Karabakh Turkey is opening the third direction of rivalry with Moscow. Ankara is already in a confrontation with Russia in Syria and Libya and the escalation can now move to Nagorno Karabakh.
The article also refers to the announcement of the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying that Turkey fully supports brotherly Azerbaijan for solving Nagorno Karabakh conflict in favor of Azerbaijan.
